The announcement: Gravitational waves exist. A major prediction of Einstein’s 1915 general theory of relativity is correct. And the endeavors of many scientists, including the instrumental work of Syracuse University’s own physicists, has made it happen.

Housing Lottery | Helping Your Student Prepare

The Housing Lottery for the 2016-17 academic year begins just after Spring Break.  In order to participate, your student should be sure that the advance housing payment has been credited to their Bursar Account by March 22, 2016; in addition, your student should review and accept the Terms & Conditions of Housing.
There is a live Housing Lottery Session for Parents on Wednesday, February 24 at 6:30 p.m. EST at http://webconference.syr.edu/hlforparents. If you are unable to attend, the session will be recorded and the video will be posted on the Parents Office website.

Orange SUccess Initiative

The mission of Orange SUccess is to provide comprehensive tools for students to connect with Syracuse University resources. It is an advising tool (web-based program) intended to improve the way we work across all schools and colleges. The pilot phase, happening this semester, is a campus wide collaboration across all colleges and schools. It provides an efficient way to quickly offer coordinated support to all students ensuring they receive the right type of assistance/intervention to keep them on track.

Summer College for High School Students

Are you the parent of a high school student?  Summer College provides rising junior or senior year high school students with an excellent opportunity to learn more about a particular academic area and experience life on a college campus.
Participating in this program helps prepare students for the transition from high school to college. Students choose from a broad range of 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-week programs offered through the various colleges and schools at Syracuse University.  For full program details visit summercollege.syr.edu.
